The UniAccess automated utility performs pre-authentication, deep purge of broken keys, silent client installation, auto-injection of server coordinates and Public Key, and starts the Windows background service.

Option A: Automated One-Line Terminal Installer

Run this command in any Linux terminal (Debian, Ubuntu, Linux Mint, RHEL, Fedora, Rocky). The script automatically detects your distribution, fetches the latest matching package, and configures the UniAccess server cluster:

Direct Configuration & Cryptographic Key Pinning

Write your UniAccess host and Ed25519 Public Key directly into the system daemon configuration file:

Set Unattended Permanent Password via CLI

For headless servers and remote office workstations, configure your unattended password from the shell:

Wayland Display Server Notice: If using GNOME or KDE on Wayland, remote control of the login screen or non-active sessions requires PipeWire and xdg-desktop-portal. For 100% headless background servers, running an X11 dummy display or virtual monitor provides optimal framerates.

Broadcasting iPhone / iPad Screen (To Receive Support)

Due to Apple security policies, iOS devices require an explicit user-initiated broadcast session to share their screen:

  1. Swipe down from the top-right corner to open iOS Control Center.
  2. Press and hold the Screen Recording icon .
  3. Select RustDesk from the list and tap Start Broadcast.
  4. Provide your 9-digit Device ID to your technician to view your mobile screen in real time.

Enabling Unattended Remote Control (Accessibility Service)

Unlike iOS, Android allows full remote touch, swipe, and key input control:

  1. Open RustDesk on Android and tap Share Screen.
  2. Enable Accessibility Service: Android Settings → Accessibility → RustDesk → Toggle ON.
  3. Exempt from Battery Optimization (tap "Don't optimize" so Android does not sleep the connection).
  4. Check "Start Service" in RustDesk to enable 24/7 unattended access.

Download & Install RustDesk Universal DMG

Download the macOS installer from rustdesk.com, open the `.dmg`, and drag the RustDesk icon into your /Applications folder.

Grant macOS Privacy & Security Permissions

macOS Gatekeeper requires explicit user authorization before remote input and screen recording are permitted:

  1. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
  2. Click Screen Recording → enable the toggle for RustDesk.
  3. Click Accessibility → enable the toggle for RustDesk (required to move the mouse cursor).

WebSocket Tunneling (Corporate Proxies & Browser Access)

UniAccess includes high-speed WebSocket relay proxies listening over standard HTTPS port 443. When enabled in Settings → Network:

  • Bypasses Strict Firewalls: Tunnels all remote desktop sessions across restrictive corporate deep packet inspection (DPI) proxies that block non-standard ports.
  • WebAssembly Browser Access: Allows technicians to control systems directly from Google Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox without installing client software.

Direct IP LAN Acceleration (Zero WAN Latency)

When both machines are connected to the same office Wi-Fi, Ethernet switch, or local subnet:

In RustDesk Settings → Security, check "Enable direct IP access". From your controller device, enter the remote computer's local IP (e.g. 192.168.1.50) to stream raw gigabit peer-to-peer video with zero internet bandwidth usage and near-zero latency.

Zero-Knowledge Authentication Security Model
Important: Your UniAccess Portal Login Password (used to authenticate the web console and sync Address Books) is completely independent from the Permanent Password for Unattended Access set on host computers. UniAccess servers never receive or store your client endpoint passwords; all cryptographic key exchange is terminated strictly peer-to-peer.
